Long Term Financial Planning: The Who, What, When, Where, Why and How
As a person with disabilities, you must have a solid understanding of your income and assets along with impact they may have on your eligibility for government benefits including Supplemental Security Income, Medicaid, and services through the Division of Developmental Disabilities. This seminar will briefly review the eligibility rules for various government benefit programs and outline how to maintain financial eligibility utilizing tools such as ABLE accounts and Special Needs Trusts.

Learn about Supports Broker roles and responsibilities in self-direction. Presenters discuss how the Supports Brokerage service assists and guides the person and the Employer of Record (EOR) or Managing Employer (ME) with employer responsibilities. They also share how the service helps educate and inform people about the community and local generic resources and how the broker can help facilitate a circle of support and assist in long-term planning, among many other types of assistance.
